Danaloka a retreat cabin, a million miles and 40 minutes from London |

Solitary retreats Most of the time the cabin is used by people who want to spend a little time alone, away freom the hussle and bussle of everyday life. The cabin is quite ideal for that especially when you consider how quickly you can get there. It's just 30 minutes from Bow or 45 minutes by car from the City of London and even though it is just inside the M25 it is as if you are deep in the countryside. Sometimes, when the wind is Easterly and the leaves are off the trees you can just about distinguish the distant rumble of the traffic but then if you want absolute silence I think the nearest place is Scotland or Wales! Surprisingly this area is very rich in wildlife and if you stay 2 days or more it is extremely likely that you will see deer passing by the stream, just a few yards away. An unusual sight this close to London. There are binoculars and even a telescope there. Everyone who has used it for a solitary has given it the thumbs up and most people visit more than once which is a good sign. On a safety note: In case of emergency, there is a house 150 yards across a field and mobiles do work out here although the signal varies. In 6 years we have only ever seen 1 rambler and in 60 years there has never been an intrusive visitor. Keith lived here for 5 years and never locked either his car or the cabin! Having said that the cabin has new lockable double glazing and security locks anyway, so it's very secure. Give us a call for more details 0798 33 33 662
