“Nothing ever realises its full potential value until given as a gift or shared, then both giver and receiver enjoy its existence and share its ‘higher’ value.”

RECENT STUFF:

May 2011 we finally got water connected and a new drainage and have hot and cold running water. The extended logs piles have also been resited and covers made so they can dry out better.

April 2011 Our recycled Land Rover lives on! New prop shaft and UJ's, headlamp etc and we have another years running, MOT -

2010 - Was an even better year with about 70% occupancey on the whole year, if you include supported visits and there was a healthy surplus of just under £2000. Money has been spent on the following and there is a prudent reserve for repairs: New fridge, new hoover, flushing chemical toilet, new chain saw, new storage shed, donated Land Rover 'recycled' and new winches.

2009 - Was a good year for the cabin and from April 1st to December 31st there were over 160 nights booked. There will be a surplus of funds which will be used towards the connection of mains water. Once that is established a hot water system will be Phase 2 and then Phase 3 will be building a bathroom and Phase 4 a septic tank and flushing toilet! As always, your suggestions are invited. We learn a great deal from those who stay there.

History: Acquired 8th November 2003, renamed "Danaloka", a place of generosity and kindness.

Without the generosity of the Parnham family (previous owners for over 50 years +, who sold us this building at a reasonable price.) and their support of the 'Danaloka' concept, this very special place would not have materialised.

Follows on from the shared Danacar concept started in 1991.
